Originally from Richmond, KY, I attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate degree in Integrated Strategic Communications and Master of Business Administration degree. Working for small and large businesses, as part of an in-house marketing team and at an agency, in the public and private sectors, as well as being an “elder millennial” that learned traditional marketing in the classroom but digital marketing while on the job have all shaped how I formulate a strategy for my clients.
I never planned on starting my own business, but as my career went on, I realized that I had a certain set of skills that businesses, small and large alike, desperately needed. And not only did I have the skillset to develop and execute social media ads, Google Ads, and other digital marketing tactics, I knew how to take those metrics and make them meaningful to stakeholders.
I saw that each business had their own unique story to tell and dreams to achieve. But I also saw that business owners, especially small business owners, were extended beyond their capacity most of the time. They know that digital marketing is important, but they just don’t have the time to do it themselves or the trust that someone else would treat their business like their own.
I love working with small business owners to learn their story, to figure out what success looks like to them, and to use digital marketing to achieve those goals. I view every client as an extension of Elle Digital Co., being transparent and honest in my strategies and results. My expertise and experience are a unique combination in the digital marketing world, but it’s the effort I put in to get to the heart of my clients’ work that truly sets me apart.
I currently live in Lexington, KY, with my husband and two kids, and they are one of the biggest reasons that starting Elle Digital Co. is such a dream come true. The flexibility has allowed for me to be more present with my family instead of always using the weekends to cram in life’s special moments. I’m also very honest with my clients that my work and life frequently overlap, so don’t be surprised if you hear “MOM!” in the background while on a call with me.
Another passion of mine is volunteerism and serving my community. I am an active member of the Junior League of Lexington, and it has been an honor to get to know Lexington on a deeper level through the community agencies and non-profit organizations the League serves. Starting this business has also allowed me to give more of my time than I could before.
My cup is filled when I am able to spend my time in ways that are meaningful to me, and I love being able to pour that back into the work I do for my clients.
